Joy FM Drags Newly Established Asaase Radio To NCA Over Frequency Interference

Management of the Multimedia Group Limited, Joy FM, has announced its decision to report new radio station Asaase Radio to the National Communications Authority for interfering with their signal.

Asaase Radio broadcasts on the 99.5 mhz and started operating on Sunday 14th June 2020, while Joy FM broadcasts on the 99.7 mhz. However Joy FM, in a statement signed by Acting General Manager Elvis Kwashie, claims its listeners are not able to tune into their radio station due to a signal interference from Asaase Radio.

They have therefore issued a complaint to the National Communications Authority who is working to rectify the issue.

The new radio station has already captured some popular radio personalities in the country, including award winning media personality Caroline Sampson, who left YFM where she had been working for almost a decade as well as Kwaku Sakyi Addo, another popular radio personality.
