The criteria employed by the search team in the selection of the pupils for the event included academic work or performance, discipline and respect or humility.

forbearers of Anyako to establish the Anlo Awoamefia (A.A.Fia) Secondary
School at Anyako-Kpota is a good example of the importance the people of
Anyako attach to good quality education. ‘We the chiefs of Anyako-Konu have
decided that the bad situation must give way to a new one so that we can bring
back new successful stories into our local educational system’, Togbi Tenge
Dzokoto Gligui VII intimated.

He stressed the need for the parents and guardians in the area not only to place
more value on the education of their wards but also invest in the future of their
children, emphasizing that this is the surest way to change their destiny as well as that of their children.

educational development of the young ones who would become the society’s future leaders tomorrow. He described the event as the first of its kind at Anyako-Konu in several decades and urged parents and the citizens of Anyako-Konu both at home
and abroad to support the Dufia to achieve his dream and vision for the area.

Headteacher of Anyako E. P. Basic School, Mr. Vincent Evans Dzikunu
described the gesture as unique, very encouraging and a great dream come true.

According to him, the support would go a long way to positively impact on the
academic and moral lives of the pupils. Mr. Dzikunu was grateful to Togbi

Royal Protocols, Mama Awotsu Adzagba II urged the parents particularly the
mothers present at the function never to allow their girl-children to drop out of school for any reasons.

Former Assembly Member for the area and member of the planning
committee, Hon. Wilson Kofi Bonuedi gave the assurance that the programme would continue next year with improved packages for the beneficiary children.
