As part of my efforts to promote a co-operative approach to facilitate Economic and Social Planning as well as the extension of Development Schemes, I met with *Dzita-Anyanui and Woe Area Councils* respectively today, 9th September, 2021and deliberated on how the various councils could be resourced to perform their constitutionally mandated duties.
We also discussed some pertinent developmental issues affecting the various communities.
On Revenue Generation, I reiterated that for every *Property Tax* collected, 25% is paid as commission to the collectors, 25% remains in the coffers of the Councils and only 50% is paid to the District Assembly.
I advised that it is prudent to use the Unit Committee Members for the collection of the property tax.
I pledged to also work with all stakeholders to ensure that the Atiteti Bridge is rehabilitated, potable water extended to Fiato-Weme, find a permanent land for Volta Senior High(VOLTASCO) and also establish an ICT Centre for Dzita-Agbledomi Basic School.
I again made it known to the Councils that the Ministry of Energy had approved my request for the supply of *Five Thousand (5000) SHEP meters* to the various communities.
*TOGETHER WE DEVELOP ANLO*
