On A vacant Stool at Afiadenyigba  in the Anlo Kingdom
Two new chiefs have been installed and outdoored at Anlo Afiadenyigba in the Keta municipality of the Volta Region amidst pomp and pageantry. After more than 300 years of being vacant, the Aglebe stool at the
Kpornuga division of Anlo Afiadenyigba finally has an occupant when the kingmakers, after going through all the necessary rituals and processes settled on the Nigerian based ship Captain, Joseph Ashu Evadzi as the chief, Torgbui Aglebe II. In the other case, the Akamu stool of the Agbonuga division has been vacant for 18 years following the demise of Torgbui Akamu III in 2003. The kingmakers eventually settled on a 38 year old popular businessman and politician, CEO of SBBV Lotto Company, Azi Ganyo popularly known as Sadaco. It was all joy and ecstasy when the two newly crowned chiefs were outdoored on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the popular durbar ground in the Anlo Afiadenyigba community. The ceremony was graced by Members of Parliament from the Volta Region, notable among them were the Keta MP, Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, his counterpart from Central Tongu Alexander Roosevelt Hottordze and the member for Anlo Richard Kwame Sefe. The Volta Regional Chairman of the NDC, Henry Ametefe also led a high powered delegation of regional and constituency executives of the party to witness the transition of one of their own from active partisan politics to chieftaincy, where by constitutional provisions, he is barred from engaging in active politics.
Also outdoored were their agbotaduawo (deputies)  as well as Queenmothers. Agbotadua Awuku Fialor and Mama Diawor Zorfuaxanyi are for the Akamu stool while Agbotadua Awuku Agblor and Mama Dage Abui are for the Aglebe stool. The outdooring ceremony was also witnessed by chiefs from all over the country as well as people of all walks of life.
In a solidarity message, the MP for Keta, Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey who is a personal friend of Torgbui Akamu V congratulated the new chiefs and wished them well. He called on them to work in harmony with other chiefs and stakeholders to bring rapid development to the community. He said he will continue to lobby for development projects and other social amenities to be extended to the Anlo Afiadenyigba community.
The Dufia of Anlo Afiadenyigba and Chairman of the ceremony, Torgbui Kadzahlo IV, who was himself installed just about three months ago, advised the youths to eschew all negative behaviours. He was particularly worried about activities such as cyber fraud popularly known as sakawa, smoking of Indian hemp or wee and grave looting. He said neither he nor any chief will intervene when any youth finds himself or herself on the wrong side of the law. For their parts, the new chiefs pledged to work with chiefs in the town and the Anloland in general to forster unity among their people. They want to use their new positions as chiefs to promote education, health and sanitation in the community.
The Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Edwin Nuworza Denoo was grateful to everyone who played diverse roles to have the two chiefs installed. Chairman of the Anlo Afiadenyigba Youth Council, Bubu Klinogo underscored the important roles chiefs play in the socio economic development of every community. He therefore called on the remaining royal families whose stools are still vacant, to initiate the process of finding new replacements so that early next year, those chiefs can also be installed to have the full complement of chiefs in the Anlo Afiadenyigba community. There were cultural performances from drumming groups from the town and others from Benin and Nigeria.
