ONE OF EWEDUKOR ; CHINDERI IN OTI REGION GETS ULTRAMODERN COURT FACILITY

Residents and chiefs of Chinderi can now settle their litigation, crime, theft and other matters with ease following the construction of a new district court

The chiefs and people of Chinderi in the Krachi Nchumuru district of the Oti Region have not been able to access the court system for the adjudication of disputes since 2018.

The court facility which served residents in Chinderi and neighbouring communities was closed down due to its poor nature.

Residents and chiefs can now settle their litigation, crime, theft and other matters with ease as the government through the judicial service constructed a new district court facility with the district common fund.

According to the Chief Justice, Kwasi Anin-Yeboah, the facility forms part of the president’s vision and dream to bring justice close to every district to ensure law and order.

He appealed to the chiefs and the people in the communities to make good use of the court.

The Oti regional minister, Joshua Makubu thanked the chief justice for his good work.

He advised the people of Krachi Nchumuru to be law abiding and lovers of peace in order not to be caught in the web of the law.

For his part, the DCE Kwesi Nkrumah Ogyile said the cost of traveling and the inconveniences make some lose interest in pursuing legal redress.

“Now that we have this court, people will not travel far to prosecute their matters hence the need to be law abiding and stay in harmony.”

He congratulated the president and his government for fulfilling their promises by considering the judicial needs of the people of Krachi Nchumuru.
