TORGBUI SRI IIIHis Royal Majesty the 16th Awormefia of Anlo

TORGBUI SRI III
His Royal Majesty the 16th Awormefia of Anlo State and occupant of the sacred and ancient Awormezi of Anlo. He is the sole and sovereign Custodian of the culture, traditions, customs and trinitarian realm of the Apedoawo, Fiagawo and Dekornu of Anloland.

The person of the Awormefia is sacrosanct, inviolable and revered by all the 36 independent states of the Anlo State who are united in common faith and allegiance to the great and sacred Awormezi, the foremost symbol of authority, royalty and plenary power of Anlo vested in the Awormefia of Anlo.

The Awormefia of Anlo is the de-jure and de-facto King, Overlord and spiritual leader of the Anlo State representing the spirit and national unity of Anlo people supported by the Awadada of Anlo the chief warlord of Anlo and second in command of the Anlo State

Succession to the Awormezi of Anlo is rotated between the royal Adzorvia Clan and the royal Bate Clan of Anlo respectively. Amega Wenya was the leader of the Dogbo people of the Ewe ethnic group during their migration from Notsie to present day Volta region of Ghana. Amega Wenya was never a king of Anlo and he never proclaimed to be.

The so-called Dutor Torgbuiga Wenya III claiming to be king of the Awormefia of Anlo is preposterous and blasphemous. Amega Wenya was only an elderly leader of the Dogbos during their migration and had no stool so in essence he had no real power or authority. Does this mean he is claiming to be king of Anlo, Gbi, Asogli, Somey, Tongu, Avenor and all other sub-groups of the Dogbo people that migrated to settle in Ghana? Because clearly, Wenya was not a king of Anlo but leader of the Dogbo people. Let's promote development and unity in our region and do away with this pull him down syndrome and conspiracy theories. We only subject ourselves to ridicule and mockery.
