Liati Soba, located in the Afadzato South District of the Volta region, houses the only snake zoo in Ghana. Over there you'll find all kinds of snakes including the ever friendly ball pythons and one of the most venomous snakes in the world, vipers
The snakes are so cold on the skin and are therapeutic to the touch.
Have you ever heard of the snake massage which was first introduced in 2013? Some SPAs use snakes for massage which is highly therapeutic.
The army, students and other institutions and individuals visit this zoo to learn about snakes.
Note: the Snake Village will not all you touch a snake that'll bite you.
The SNAKE VILLAGE is right off the road to Afadjato (the highest mountain in Ghana) and Tagbo Waterfalls. Next time you visit Mountain Afadja and Tagbo Falls, make a stop at the snake village. Once a while you've got to be adventurous, the usual every day is boring.
