Tell me again that Language is not a barrier and I would not argue with you but then show you proofs of the incredible story of one very funny “Ghanaian-Voltarian” female comedian who never got to become a National celebrity in her lifetime due to the fact that She used only Ewe in her Acting and so only the Ewe people could fully understand her very very funny comments and sarcastic utterances in her skits and movies.
If you think Akrobeto is funny because of the way he speaks and Acts in Akan, then trust me that you would love Chilling Mama to bits if you understood the things she said and the way she said it. And She was indeed a household name in the Volta Region and would have easily become a celebrated Ghanaian local Actress if She had made Akan movies. And She was an awesome Actress.
I hear Chilling mama got exposed to making movies very late in life but then she still made a huge impact on the Volta Movie industry. Fact is She was funny as hell and would get you cracking your ribs just at the attempt to open her mouth to say a word.
I pray her soul rests in Peace and I pray the Volta Movie Industry gets to grow in a way that we could boldly celebrate the Pioneers and remember our screen legends like Chilling Mama.
