The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has advised factions in the Bator chieftaincy dispute to desist from engaging in reprisal attacks and show confidence in the investigation process.

At least five people were killed leaving 15 injured in a violent chieftaincy dispute in Bator in the Volta Region about two weeks ago.

In a Facebook post, Ablakwa who visited the families of those who lost their lives assured them justice will be served.

“It’s been a really distressing day visiting families of the five constituents who lost their lives in the recent Battor chieftaincy dispute.”

“I urged all to have confidence in ongoing investigations and not to engage in reprisal attacks. Victims deserve justice; Battor deserves peace,” Ablakwa posted on Facebook.
