MEET THE “AWADADA” (WARLORD) OF THE GREAT ANLO STATE

Meet the current Awadada (WarLord) of the Anlo State, Torgbui Agbesi Awusu II.

The AWADADA according to the Anlo Tradition is the “High Priest of War” or the “Warlord of Anlo”, and is the 2nd highest ranking Chief in the Anloland after the AWORMEFIA who is the Overlord of Anlo.

The Awadada’s ritual Royal stool is called KAKLAKU STOOL and was founded by Torgbui Agbesi I, who was the first Awadada.

Legend has it that Torgbui Agbesi was a great warrior who led part of the Anlos westward. He was said to have led a group of Warriors who went scouting ahead of the main migrating group and fought with tribes and attackers looking to harass our Ancestors.

The stool house of the KAKLAKU is the “holy of holies” or the holiest place in the Anloland (sanctum sanctorum) which people all over the world visit in search of healing, fortune and fame.

The KAKLAKU is a stool the ensures victory in War and so it is a stool the brings success. For this reason people travel to make oaths to the KAKLAKU to be victorious in their hustles or lives. And it really works the magic.

The KAKLAKU stool is the 2nd highest ranked Stool in the Anloland and is said to have been brought from Tado in Togo to Anlo by Torgbui Awusu I, who was the 4th Awadada. He brought along other regalia as well like Mystical Amulets, #Dzangba and #Adzoyibada.

The Awadada lives closer to the Awormefia and performs the ceremonial duties of the Awormefia in times of Peace.

But then in times of war, his duty is to prepares the fighting me for war, makes them invisible (zigidodo), and even leads them to war.
